ADI International Student Design Competition is about highlighting excellence in student project work based on student project completed as part of an academic requirement after Jan 2016 and submitted for the ADI ISDC, Battle of Projects award process. Battle of Projects is the name given to the competition.
Any registered student on a undergraduate Education, or Higher Education course (part time or full time) in art, design, film, architecture, technology, humanities, management and at any level at the time of the deadline for entries (26 January 2018) qualifies as a student participant. Entrants must be aged 16 or over by 1 January 2018. The student competition is not open to design professionals.
This is a Design competition and not a technology or engineering competition. This means that entries will be evaluated for their purpose, human factors, user experience, aesthetics as well as feasibility of workability.
Yes, any student project that fits in the above categories and is design related can participate in ADI ISDC. It is not necessary that the participant is a student of design.
Yes. International students from countries other than India may participate as per the rules of the competition. All submissions are only in English. The onus to translate correctly will remain with the participant.
No. All submissions have to be in English only. However, your design work may carry intrinsic scripts other than English. All such submissions need translation in English to be submitted in the A3 image boards for the Jury to understand the concept.

Professional Awards are not open at present. These professional awards will be announced separately at an appropriate time.
Participation is free for students. There is no fee for registration or submission.
Yes, Group participation is allowed. Mention the group / team names in the registration form. However, only one award will be given to the entire group, if applicable. The entry and all communication will be directed to the student who has filled & submitted the form.
Yes, each submission has to be separately registered with new user name and password.Each individual or group is permitted a maximum of 3 entries.
Your page can only viewed by ADI ISDC, Competition Director and the Jury assigned to your category. Your page is password protected and the onus of maintaining the password and its privacy remains with you.
Yes. Once you login to your submission page, you have an option of either saving your submission or final submission. Once you submit, the submission cannot be changed. However, you may click Save and change your submission till the last date of submission i.e., 26 January 2018. You must click Submit to be able to participate in the competition.
Yes, that is an ideal entry for this competition.
Only the selected award winning entries can be seen after the competition results are out.
Yes. Award winning entry may be published with tag to the competition, ADI, International Student Design Competition.
Yes. It has to befrom your regular course work project validated by your Design school or college.
Yes. An email will be sent to you on successful registration and on successful submission. However, just submission will not guarantee that the entry appears correct and the onus to submit technically correct entry that is not corrupt file or image or illegible is on you.
The results will be announced during the Pune Design Festival 2018, on the 16th. of February 2018. Any changes with this date can be checked for updates on our website www.adiawards.org
Nominated applicants will receive an email and / or phone call about being selected for the final round. Winner awardees will be declared during the awards event at Pune Design Festival. A list of winners will be published on the website post the awards event.

Yes. Entries must be supplied as a high-resolution .jpeg’s, Between 200 – 300 dpi, CMYK in A3 size (Max. 2 MB per image board).

A maximum of 3 no. – A3 images can be supplied for submission.

The A3 image must demonstrate development of the thought process from the original research to the final design concept.

Yes. Entries will be accepted through this website between 00:01 (GMT) on Wednesday, 10 January 2018 and 12:00 midnight (GMT) on Friday, 26 January 2018. Incase of any extension, the new date for extended submission will be communicated through the website www.adiawards.org
Skill exercises like drawing or sketching as stand alone or submissions where the project is not understood due to lack of completion or visual detail will find it difficult to compete and stand a good change of getting rejected in the first round.
Each Category has 3 awards. 1-First-Winner, 1-Second- First Runner up, 1-Third-Second Runner up. Each award is the competition trophy and Certificate. Total number of awards to be given out is 15 across all categories.
The award will be sent to your registered address by a courier service. You may have to bear the charges for such courier especially for International couriers.
